(Draft 0.0)
This will be the concluding chapter.
Not sure what's all in it, but no doubt some of the material that was in the speech I gave to the ICL's annual Wild Idaho gathering May 16th of 2026... in other words, a defense of public lands.
Also, something about the importance of having a place to identify with, and what it does to your soul, and the fact that there's pretty much something for everyone in such a complex geography/geology.
Maybe something about our segment on the Eclipse and how it brought people together. Do we have to wait that long for another moment to unite us. Idaho has a few places that can do that to a soul.
I've often wondered if Idaho's view of itself would be different if it didn't look so damned different from the other states. Did it give us an inferior complex? Did it slow up the connectivity that many other states just take for granted, by looking like a logger's boot, a gun, or a frying pan?
I'll look at some of our hour-long shows like Aerial Tapestry that explored Idaho from the air. Maybe there's something there.
Definitely thank all the people that made the show watchable and the station that supported it from the beginning.
But as you can see, this chapter is definitely a work in progress. So feel free to throw ideas at me please!
