This website will eventually go away. I built it to help me keep things organized.

You can assume that all of these chapters are DRAFTS... some less drafty than others. I'm trying to keep up with all the recent suggestions by friends. Thank you! I might not have all of the suggestions reflected yet in these chapters, but I am making sure that the very latest rewrites are on this website. (I have one other place where I keep the latest rewrites: on my computer. Then I transfer the rewrites to this website.)

The order of chapters you see here will not hold... except for the first three. They will remain the first three. Their position might have more to do with how close they are to being completed, but that's slowly changing. Hoping soon to have the order more or less agreed upon. Friends will likely have a say in the order of chapters.

I'm still looking for a title... although "My Own Private Outdoor Idaho" is a decent suggestion, with or without the word "own."

My goal was to have the writing completed by the end of May. At least that was my goal.  In mid-May, I shared with the Idaho Conservation League three of the chapters, as part of a presentation I gave at their annual meeting in Redfish Lodge. Those three chapters were "Where's My Hat?" and "The Elvis Years: It's Now or Never" and "Old Man River." The spiral-bound booklet seemed to go over well. At least the 60 copies went fast. Those three chapters are the closest to being 'complete,' although I'm continuing to seek suggestions.

For the finished book, the plan is to have color photos for each chapter. Photos would mostly be from other people: Tim Tower, Rick Gerrard, Jim Hadley from the station, Peter Morrill, and others. I might have a few as well. I am receiving invaluable assistance from many friends, not only with photos and punctuation but with content as well. I realize how lucky I am.

Will I complete this project? Vegas has the odds at +100, or exactly 50%. It might help if I'd quit adding chapters and rewriting the ones that are supposedly completed.  That is no way to forge ahead.
